What the Steam version includes
Store categories include single-player, multi-player, co-op, online co-op, Steam achievements, full controller support, Steam Cloud, remote play on tablet and family sharing. In practice that means Steam Cloud saves, achievements and full controller support come with this version.
Steam Deck

How it differs from other stores
The official 1.0 FAQ also lists the Mac App Store, Humble Store and Microsoft Store. Only the Microsoft Store version shares saves with Xbox; no other combination syncs. Decide whether you want Steam Cloud and achievements or save continuity with Xbox before choosing.
